eight separate events for persons with deafblindness,
as part of the First World Celebration of the Specific Capabilities of the Deafblind):
3rd of July 2016, Sunday:
Day of arrival
(but each day can be day of arrival / departure – see the rule 1.1)
4th of July 2016, Monday:
1st day of the 1st World Chess Championship of the Deafblind
Alternatively on the same time: 1st World Championship on Backgammon of the Deafblind
5th of July 2016, Tuesday:
2nd day of the 1st World Chess Championship of the Deafblind (till 17:30)
Alternatively on the same time:
morning: 1st World Championship on Arm Wrestling of the Deafblind
afternoon: 1st World Championship on Darts of the Deafblind
After 17:30 the BOWLING PRACTICE will be held, in Bowling Complex “Aqualand”
6th of July 2016, Wednesday:
1st World Bowling Championship of the Deafblind
7th of July 2016, Thursday:
Touristic programs of sightseeing: you can choose between several options (will be announced soon)
8th of July 2016, Friday:
1st World Championship on Track-and-Field Athletics of the Deafblind
9th of July 2016, Saturday:
1st World Amateur Arts Festival of the Deafblind
10th of July 2016, Sunday:
Day of departure.

1. PARTICIPANTS who can compete in sports championships and who will participate in the amateur arts festival: Deafblind persons
Interpreters and assistants of deafblind persons will work and help them during events, but they are sighted and/or hearing persons and they cannot to compete in the sports championships. From all the events, only the Amateur Art Festival is not a competition.
1.1. Active participation in one/ several event(s) or to be only a spectator
Each day can be day of arrival or day of departure.
2. Support for participants from Africa and Latin America.

3. Ranking in sports championships:
in categories by gender, sight, age, weight and arm (in dependence of a championship)
The Team Ranking includes National teams and as option, Combined teams.
4. Awarding for first, second and third place:
4.1. In the Individual Ranking: gold, silver and bronze medal and a diploma
4.2. In the Team Ranking: large, medium and small cup and a diploma
5. Access to information and communication.
5.1. The official language of the Celebration is English (spoken and written). The hosts will provide English interpreters.
5.2. Each championship is preceded by a technical conference.
5.3. The hosts will provide sound amplification system at the room/location for each technical conference and for each event.
All travel cost from home country to Bulgaria are paid from participants themselves.
Air Transport is possible to the Sofia airport (1st Terminal or 2nd Terminal).
Some international flights also come to the Plovdiv Airport (10 km to Plovdiv).
The city of Plovdiv can be reached by train or by bus. Some international buses and trains come to Plovdiv. There are trains and buses from Sofia too.
Participants from countries outside of European Union may need visas for their stay in Bulgaria.
Each participant must check the visa regulations particular for their country. If you need official invitation please inform us in advance and we will provide you.
7. AIRPORT TRANSFER / transfer from bus / train stations:
NADbBg will arrange car and bus transportation of the participants from Sofia airport (1st Terminal or 1st Terminal) to the hotel Novotel – Plovdiv and back from hotel Novotel – Plovdiv to Sofia airport.
Distance between Sofia airport and the hotel Novotel – Plovdiv is 146 km on the “Trakia” highway that takes 1 hour 30 minutes.
If there are participants come from Plovdiv Airport or bus/train stations in Plovdiv, they will be transferred to the hotel too.

NADbBg has a lot of experience in arranging of Celebrations of the Specific Capabilities of the Deafblind:
- in period 2003 - 2015 NADbBg arranges 12 National Celebrations of the Specific Capabilities of the Deafblind (from 1st to 12th)
- in years 2008 and 2014 NADbBg arranges 2 European Celebrations of the Specific Capabilities of the Deafblind (the 1st and the 2nd)
- in 2005 NADbBg arranges the 8th European Deafblind Holidays.
